Chicken production in Parana will grow to 6% in 2018

The production of chicken meat, poultry in the country's main State, will grow from 4% to 6% by 2018, according to estimate of the Sindiavipar (Union of poultry products industries of the State of Paraná). Last year, the chicken slaughter in the State totaled 1.79 billion, an increase of 1.8% compared with the previous year.
As well as producing, Paraná exports of chicken should also grow 4% to 6% this year, according to the Union. In 2017, the refrigerator of the state exported 1,570,000 tons, an increase of 1.6% compared to 2016. In revenue, shipments yielded $ $2.51 billion, annual growth of 8.4%. With this performance, the Paraná was responsible for 36.3% of Brazilian exports.
