BEER INDUSTRY SHOULD GROW 3% in 2014

The prospect of analysts consulted by the Broadcast, State Agency news service, is that the last three months of this year will boost the growth of 3% of the Brazilian market of beer for 2014, considering mainly the seasonal factors and the Government's decision to postpone the tax increase to 2015. The expectation is that starting in October there is a resumption of production and sales in line with seasonality of the end of the year. Throughout the first half, the production of beer was benefited by the high temperatures in the summer, by the late Carnival in March and by the completion of the World Cup. From January to June, according to the beer production Control system for the production of beverages (Sicobe) accumulated high of 11.2% in comparison with the same period of the previous year.
