Henkel opens in China the world's largest adhesive factory

Henkel has just inaugurated its largest production unit in China, with 150 thousand square meters. The plant will be the central unit of production of industrial adhesives in China and Asia Pacific region, and will serve customers in the automotive industry and various consumer goods sectors. The annual production is expected to reach 428 thousand tons of stickers.
"The new factory of adhesives will contribute significantly to the achievement of our strategy for 2016: will allow the expansion of our production of adhesives and will leverage our global reach, in addition to winning market share in emerging countries," said Kasper Rorsted, CEO of Henkel.
The company is already generating 45% of its total sales in emerging markets while 55% of its employees are located in these countries. One of the financial goals of Henkel for 2016 is to increase sales generated in emerging markets to 10 billion euros, while aims to reach a total sales of 20 billion euros.
Henkel has invested more than 50 million euros in the factory.
