Tirolez launches special reserve parmesan to celebrate 40 years

Forty years ago, the brothers Cícero and Carlos Hegg founded Tirolez, a company totally focused on cheese production. To celebrate the date, the brand launches parmesan special reserve cheese, matured for 12 months, twice the maturation time of a common Parmesan. Packaged in a lithographed and exclusive steel can, the product reaches the market in fractional part with fixed weight of 420 grams.
"In these 40 years of our company, Parmesan Tirolez has consolidated itself in the public's preference, for the unique taste and care that we have throughout the manufacturing process," says Luiza Hegg, marketing manager at Tirolez. "The Special Reserve edition will bring to the public an even more special cheese, in a larger fraction and accentuated flavor," luiza points out.
Produced with cow's milk, Parmesan cheese originates from the Po Valley in northern Italy. In order to be called Parmesan, the product must be at least six months mature. Parmesan with 12 months of maturation, such as the Tirolez Special Reserve, is considered an even more premium product.
"Due to the long maturation period, the texture of Parmesan changes, resulting in a more delicate and brittle fraction. This happens because, throughout this year in which the cheese is at rest, under ideal conditions of temperature and humidity, the protein is forming, in greater quantity, small Tyrosine Crystals, which make all the difference in tasting this product, bringing a slight crispness and an explosion of flavor", explains Luiza.
Another differential of the Special Reserve Parmesan Tirolez is the presentation of the product, which can turn into a special gift. The fraction of 420 grams is greater than the common presentation of this type of product on the market. The cheese comes inside a primary plastic packaging and accommodated in a cardboard cradle, inside a lacquered steel tin.
"The can not only adequately protects the product, manufactured in one of our factories in Minas Gerais, but is an item that can then be used to store supplies, for example," says Luiza.
The total profit from the sale of parmesan Special Reserve will be destined to the Central Única das Favelas (Cufa). "The idea came about so that the company could be even closer to society during the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the first half of the year, Tirolez allocated R$ 1 million in donations to hospitals and for the purchase of basic baskets for distribution to communities in need by entities such as Cufa, the Obra do Berço Association, the Franciscan Solidarity Service and the São Martinho Charitable Association", explains Luiza.
