Eight thousand and five hundred computers will be delivered on Thursday, 13, to the Departments of Education and Penitentiary Administration of the State of Amazonas, Seduc and Seap respectively, in order to contribute to the improvement of the conditions of educational and social development of students from the 4th to the 8th year of the state school system and inmates of the prison system, which will have available educational solutions suitable for regions with low or no connectivity , favor the teaching of Portuguese language and mathematics in offline mode.
The delivery of the equipment is part of the project Education 4.0, conceived by Judge Wellington Araújo, at the time vice-president of the Amazon Court, and the judge of Law Lídia de Abreu Carvalho Frota, who acted as auxiliary judge of the Vice-Presidency of the Court.
The initial idea was to develop a project that would contribute to the resocialization of prisoners in the execution of sentences, aiming at the social reintegration of this public through education. According to the judge, the project was expanded to also include students from the state school system. Of the 8,500 computers, the schools indicated by Seduc will receive 7,200 units of Positivo Classmate and 31 recharge and storage lockers.
For teaching activities in the penitentiary system, 1,300 equipment will be offered, also from Positivo. "We want to help reduce the inequality in access to education that still exists due to lack of connectivity and which, during the pandemic, became even more evident. Our mission with this project is to contribute to ensuring the right to equity and quality in education," said Regina Silva, pedagogical director of positivo tecnologia's educational technologies unit.
The president of the Amazon Court of Justice (TJAM), Judge Domingos Jorge Chalub, he stressed that the project, presented still in the previous administration, will bring a very significant reflection on the lives of students and inmates. For Chalub, the real transformation takes place through education and the results for those who will participate in the activities will come through better professional opportunities.
"The project is financed by the research and development obligations of our company with 100% targeting professionals and entities in Amazonas," explained José Goutier Rodrigues, Director of Research and Development and Government Relations at Positivo Tecnologia. At the end of the project, the impact generated by the use of technology in learning will be evaluated.
To implement "Education 4.0", an offline version of the Enhanced platform was developed, created by Positivo Tecnologia's educational technologies unit to expand skills in Portuguese language and mathematics. The solution integrates technological resources to curricular contents, favoring the development of specific skills in these areas, while respecting the pace of learning of each student.
"In this great project, with the unconditional support of Positivo Tecnologia, we have developed the teaching platform known as Enhanced to serve students who have low or no internet connectivity. We deliver a powerful digital educational tool to support the teaching of Portuguese language and Mathematics. The project should help students, promoting digital inclusion, and contributing to the learning process, in addition to shortening the distance of the tools used between public and private schools", commented the CEO of iTriad, Sérgio Junqueira.
