Index hits record, says CNC

In August, the Trade Entrepreneur Confidence Index (Icec) recorded a monthly increase of 11.5%, reaching 78.2 points.
The data, measured by the National Confederation of Trade in Goods, Services and Tourism (CNC), represents record growth for the month, although it remains in the pessimistic evaluation zone (below 100 points).
In the annual comparison, there was a drop of 32%. According to the entity, the economic recovery of the country, together with the increase in confidence of the entrepreneur, occurs gradually, after a period of crisis, especially in April.
The index that assesses trade investment intentions rose to its first high since April (+4.3%), reaching 70.5 points.
