Heineken, Unilever and Pernod Ricard in the fight against Covid-19

Pernod Ricard, a alcoholic beverage group, has teamed up with Unilever and the Heineken Group to produce a new batch of the Cif Sanitizer + Alcohol cleaner. The initiative aims to continue the actions that both had already taken in April, when it was possible to help thousands of families, in 210 favelas of São Paulo, in the fight against Covid-19. This time, the companies intend to help families not only in the state of São Paulo, but also in the state of Amapá.
"Pernod Ricard believes that more than ever it is time to think about the collective and how companies can help the country overcome the moment it is facing. We are happy to be able to contribute to initiatives like this, which further reinforce the company's commitment to the health and safety of all", says Mariana Pimentel, Legal and Institutional Relations Director at Pernod Ricard Brazil.
With the entry of Pernod Ricard, more than 282,000 units of the Cif Sanitizer + Alcohol cleaner, aimed at sanitizing and disinfecting all types of surfaces, will be distributed to families in the state of Northern and Southeastern Brazil.
In Amapá, the action will be carried out through the Amapá Solidário Project, which will allocate 45,000 units of the special lot to those who need it most, through the NGOs Caritas Diocesana de Macapá and CUFA Amapá.
In São Paulo, this aid will take place through the Generating Falcões Project, which will be responsible for donating about 170,000 cleanser units to the favelas in the metropolitan region. More than 66,000 units of the product will also arrive for other families, with the help of the NGO João de Barro, in the city of Itú.
The new batch will have alcohol originated from Heineken breweries, and the bactericidal agent of Cif. The packaging will have the support of PQS and Brasalpla, the labels by the company CCL, Universal will have the production process, Westrock with the boxes for transport, Alemolde with the lids and CRX and Sonoco-Trident developed the art that prints the product.
In addition to these partners who participated in the first action, another novelty is the presence of transtassi, rodotril and azzuf companies. Pernod Ricard will be responsible for transport in Amapá.
"Although they operate in different markets, companies have in common the appreciation of lives in the first place. We are proud to unite our voice in this initiative to strengthen our business vision together as a force for good," explains Mauricio Giamellaro, CEO of HEINEKEN Group in Brazil.
