Group 3corações takes over mitsui alimentos operations

Considered the largest coffee company in Brazil, The 3corações Group obtained the approval of CADE (Administrative Council of Economic Defense) to assume 100% of the shares of the roasted and ground coffee division of Mitsui Alimentos Ltda., in the country.
The acquisition was effected for approximately R$ 216 million and from now on, the group takes over the operation and integrates the business units and brands such as: Café Brasileiro, .br Gold (specialty coffees), 3 Farms, Prêmio, Café Superior and Bandeira, in addition to the line of solubles, chocolate, capsules and drip coffee; two roasted and ground coffee factories - one in Araçariguama (SP) and the other in Cuiabá (MT) -, and a distribution center in Campo Grande (MS).
The green coffee export business has been separated and transferred to MA Coffee Trading (Brazil) Ltda., a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsui & Co., Ltd. and remains under the umbrella of Mitsui & Co., Ltd.
