In the second quarter of 2020, the Brazilian flexible plastic packaging industry achieved stable results, with a slight decrease compared to the previous quarter.
Considering the first half of the year, the flexible sector performed better than the results of the entire industry.
The data are from a research by W4Chem, specialized in market intelligence, made for the Brazilian Association of the Flexible Plastic Packaging Industry (ABIEF).
According to the entity, the results are associated with the performance of the food industry, which, during the pandemic, has shown positive variations in production.
In the second quarter, the production of flexible plastic packaging reached 480,000 tons and, in the first half, the total was 967,000 tons.
