Anti-Covid plastic is launched in the world

You go to the supermarket, put your hand on the cart, pick up plastic-packed products, use your card to pay, enter your password, put the groceries in bags and go home to sanitize everything before storing.
You go to a restaurant, or you order food at home. How many people have packed packages, cutlery and napkins before?
What if everything you touched with your hands had the security of eliminating 99.84% of coronavirus and breaking kill 99.99% of bacteria, fungi and other microorganisms?
Studies have shown that many people ended up falling ill with Covid-19 even though they stayed at home. Where did it come from, where did the coronavirus come from? It is not known for sure and shows how high the power of contamination and transmission is.
Plastic manufactured with d2pAM was tested by Eurofins laboratories, following the standard "ISO-BS 21702:2019 (First edition 2019-05-27): Measurement of antiviral activity on plastics and other non-porous surfaces" and the result showed an antiviral activity of 99.84%.
Eurofins is a world leader in food, environmental and drug analysis, as well as its prominence among global leaders in agroscience, genomics and pharmacological research. In clinical diagnosis is one of the main players in Europe and USA.
The additive d2pAM is a set of substances developed by the multinational Symphony Environmental that protects packaging against the proliferation of viruses, bacteria, fungi and molds. It is a safe technology and the components of the additive comply with fda, ANVISA and European Union regulations and resolutions for contact with food, medicine and cosmetics. In addition to being efficient in eliminating disease-causing agents, packaging containing the technology helps preserve and extend the shelf life of some foods, such as breads and milk derivatives.
The additive already enjoys consolidated use in the world as an antimicrobial agent. Broad spectrum, the D2PAM 97000 series contains no silver and does not migrate to food.
The solution is suitable for products and packaging in general that have a high risk of cross-contamination, for example, food packaging, beverages, hygiene and cleaning products, credit and/or debit cards, cover and protection films for bank terminals, keyboards, restaurant trays, glasses, plates, straws, cutlery, paints, water pipes, garbage bags, EEIs such as masks, gloves, caps, aprons and many other products.
The shielding provided is permanent for as long as the plastic lasts, protecting against cross contamination all people who touch the product, from production to collection and recycling.
In addition to civil society, several sectors of the economy can benefit from innovation, including medical-hospital, automotive, laboratories, food delivery, offices, bars, restaurant and e-commerce.
"According to studies, viruses can survive in plastics for up to nine days at room temperature and some infectious agents survive in hospitals for up to 46 months. I believe that much will change post-pandemic with regard to sanitary and hygiene controls. The population has already adopted some new habits, such as cleaning bags and packaging of products after arriving from the market or the fair. So anything that comes to facilitate the routine and bring safety will be welcome", evaluates Eduardo Van Roost, Director of RES Brazil, exclusive representative in the country to commercialize d2pAM technologies and additives.
The additive in the form of pellets can be added in common resins such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, PET, PVC, ABS, etc., without the need for changes in industrial processes. The same Brazilian industries manufacturers of packaging and plastic products can produce this unique and innovative type of health protection.
In the form of powder or liquid, it can be used in the production of paints, varnishes, fabrics, nitrile gloves, or rubber or latex.
d2pAM additives and d2w biodegradation promoters can be combined into products made of polyethylene and/or polypropylene only. The final product will remain broad-spectrum antimicrobial and at the end of its shelf life will be biodegradable in accordance with ASTM 6954-18.
Packaging and plastic products with this combination can be tested and authenticated with the d2detector device available in Brazil and so the consumer will be sure that the product is legitimate.
All plastic products manufactured with symphony's family of additives are recyclable together with ordinary plastics.
Even with this innovative form of prevention, all protective measures recommended by health authorities should be maintained against coronavirus, such as washing your hands carefully, using alcohol gel, wearing masks, keeping distancing from others, etc.
