Klabin produces corrugated pallets for indoor use

One of these resources is the considerable reduction of scrap from wooden pallets, which suffer frequently breakdowns due to the handling of forklifts, for pallets developed with corrugated parts, an option fully incorporated into the company's production process. The measure was adopted in the units of Jundiaí, Feira de Santana, Itajaí and Manaus, which replaced part of the traditional pallets.
Corrugated pallets are produced with Klabin paper, that is, made from renewable raw material, from planted and certified forests, besides being 100% recyclable.
The product has attributes similar to the wood model, supporting the same weight of traditional pallets and can be used by forklifts, with fewer breakdowns. If care is respected in handling, corrugated pallets have high durability.
"We have a team focused on solutions that allow us to expand the use of paper, contributing to the construction of a sustainable future. The pallets are being produced by the company and fully reused after use, within an internal use chain, without waste generation," says Douglas Dalmasi, Klabin's Packaging Director.
