CNI points to confidence of entrepreneurs in 10 industrial sectors

The Industrial Entrepreneur Confidence Index (Icei) improved in 29 of the 30 industrial sectors surveyed in July, but in only ten the indicator crossed the dividing line that indicates business confidence with the market. These include the cleaning products, pharmaceutical, furniture, food and plastics sectors.
The sectoral results of the research were released today (28) by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI).
Icei indicators range from 0 to 100 points. When they are above 50 points they show that entrepreneurs are confident. Values below 50 points indicate lack of confidence of the entrepreneur.
In July, The Manufacturing Industry Icei reached 49.1 points, after growing for the third consecutive month. Confidence increased in 25 of the 26 sectors surveyed in this segment, the exception being biofuels.
Of these 26 sectors, entrepreneurs are more confident in nine, and in eight they became confident (indicator above 50 points) in July. They are: food; chemicals; soaps, detergents, cleaning products, cosmetics, perfumery and personal care products; rubber; plastic; non-metallic minerals; other transport equipment; and furniture. In the pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical sector, entrepreneurs were already confident in June.
The Icei of the Extractive Industry went from 50.8 points in June to 53.8 points this month. The extraction of non-metallic minerals is the tenth sector that has already crossed the dividing line that separates confidence from the lack of confidence.
The Construction Industry Icei reached 46.3 points, after growing 3.7 points in July. It is the index's third consecutive high. All three construction sectors considered recorded indicator growth, but remain below 50 points.
Cni's survey surveyed 2,305 companies between July 1 and 13, 899 small, 845 medium and 561 large.
