Average Ticket Increases

The number of transactions in supermarkets fell 0.78% from March to April and 30.43% from April to May. The data consider purchases made with the Food Stamp cards of ValeCard, an electronic payment company.
In the first half of June, the number of transactions decreased by 3.56% compared to the same period in May. However, the average ticket, calculated based on transactions made in the first fortnight, grew 17.36% in April and had a negative change of 1.09% from April to May.
In restaurants and snack bars, the number of transactions with Food Stamps cards fell 47.31% from March to April and 26.31% from April to May.
