Sector totals R$ 41.92 Billion

E-commerce revenues totaled R$ 41.92 billion in the first five months of 2020, a 56.8% increase over the same period last year. The information is part of a study conducted by the Buy&Trust Movement, in partnership with the Brazilian Association of Electronic Commerce (ABComm). In the period, there was a 65.7% increase in the number of applications, from 63.4 million to 105.06 million. In turn, the average ticket fell 5.4%, from R$ 420.78 to R$ 398.03. The categories with the highest growth were: Beauty and Perfumery, with revenues of R$ 2.11 billion and a high of 107.4%; With R$ 2.51 billion and an advance of 94.4%; and Electroportables, with R$ 1.02 billion and a 85.7% change. The Northeast had the largest increase in revenues, with a 60.9% increase. The region, however, had a 15.3% share of total revenue. With growth of 54.9% and 62.2% of representativeness, the Southeast appears in second place. The Midwest is in third place, with a 47.1% increase and a 6.6% share in revenues. Next are the South (evolution of 39.2% and 13.2% of representativeness) and the North (high of 44.1% and participation of 2.7%).
