Carrefour Leads Ranking

In the Abras/SuperHiper 2020 Ranking, the Carrefour Group leads among the 20 largest companies in the supermarket sector in the country, with a gross revenue of R$ 62.2 billion in 2019. The 43rd edition of the study was developed by the Brazilian Supermarket Association (Abras), in partnership with Nielsen. In second place, the GPA (R$ 61.5 billion) appears, followed by Cencosud (R$ 8.5 billion), in third position. Brothers Muffato (R$ 7.5 billion) and SDB Comércio de Alimentos (R$ 7.2 billion), in turn, are in 4th and 5th places. Together, the 20 companies total revenues of R$ 197 billion and 2,711 stores throughout the country.
