Post office agencies will register for emergency aid in June

From June, the post office agencies will be an option for those who want to register to receive emergency government aid, benefit of R $ 600 monthly (R $ 1,2 thousand for single mothers) paid to informal workers, individual microentrepreneurs, self-employed and unemployed to mitigate the impacts of social isolation adopted due to the pandemic of the new coronavirus. Until this Saturday (23/05), Caixa Econômica Federal paid R$ 60 billion in emergency aid, added to the first and second installments. In total, 55.1 million people received the first installment, while the second tranche reached 30.4 million. Note released by the Post clarifies that the beginning of the provision of support of postal agencies in this registration will be in June, but has not yet set date. According to the note, "the agencies are currently in the process of adapting the systems to perform the service." The state promises that "the start date of the service, the forms of access of the population and other procedures will be widely disseminated by the official channels of the company".
