Sales of corrugated cardboard used in packaging grew 10.92% in March compared to February and 10.73% compared to a year ago, totaling 319,952 tons, according to previous data released by the Brazilian Corrugated Cardboard Association (ABPO). Considering the seasonally influenced data, corrugated cardboard shipmentrose 1.8% in March to 316,508 tons. The comparison with the same month of 2019 was the highest level of shipment for March since 2005 and the second largest annual growth for the month in the historical series.
