Rains Cause Loss of R $ 203 Million

February rains caused a loss of R$ 203 million for retail in the Southeast region of Brazil. The survey was conducted by the National Confederation of Trade in Goods, Services and Tourism (CNC). Also according to the CNC, São Paulo was the most affected state, with a loss of R$ 122.9 million in the month. Rio de Janeiro appears next, with a loss of R$ 46.4 million in the period, followed by Minas Gerais (R$ 34.2 million loss). According to the economist responsible for the study, Fabio Bentes, "the calculated number of R$ 203 million corresponds to about 0.5% of retail revenues in the period."
