Carrefour Begins Makro Store Reformulation

The Makro stores acquired by Carrefour will receive investment between R$ 10 million and R$ 12 million, destined for renovations - the total contribution will be R$ 360 million. In addition, R$ 2.8 billion are being invested in the purchase of the assets themselves. The project predicts that, from 3 to 6 months, makro stores should start operating with the Atacadão flag. Carrefour paid R$ 1.95 billion for 30 Makro units located outside the State of São Paulo and, with this, the network grows to 217 stores in cash & carry format. Learn more about the acquisition.
