Category Wins 39% of Consumers

In 2019, 39% of consumers bought at least one organic item, according to a survey by the Paulista Association of Supermarkets (APAS). The current number is 9% higher than the same recorded in 2016. According to the survey, the number is not higher because 56% of customers point to the price as the main limiting factor for organic consumption. Prices can range up to 237% compared to conventional products.
