Sales grow in the first fortnight of September

The sales movement of the São Paulo retail sector rose, on average, 2.4% in the first fortnight of September, in relation to the same period of 2018, according to the sales balance of the commercial Association of Sao Paolo (ACSP). With the same number of days in the two periods (12 days), the discharge was pulled by the cash transactions, recorded by the Cheque Movement Indicator (ICH), which grew 4%, while credit sales rose 0.8%, according to the Trade movement indicator Term (BMI), which basically accounts for sales of furniture and appliances. For the entity, the promotions of the traders referring to the week of Brazil may also have contributed to these values. Methodology The sales balance is prepared by the Institute of Economics Gastão Vidigal of ACSP with sample provided by Boa Vista SCPC.
