Average price of airfares increased 1% in 2018, says Faa

The National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac) said on Wednesday (27) that the average price of tickets has increased 1% in 2018. According to Anac, the average value in national flights was R $370.54 in 2017 and R $374.12 last year. To disseminate the results, the Agency reported that the change in the dollar and the rising price of kerosene led to the slight increase in the price of tickets. The aviation kerosene (JET FUEL), which is about 30% of the cost of air services, surged to 37.3% in the comparison between 2017 and 2018. Already the real's exchange rate against the dollar, which has strong influence on the main items of the sector increased by 14.5% in the same period of comparison. The Faa also released some other data, including: 6.7% of tickets were sold less than R $100; 50.9% of tickets were sold less than R $300; 0.8% of tickets were sold over R $1,500.
