Construction Sales Grow 8% in October

The construction sector recorded an 8% growth in sales in October, compared to the previous year. Compared to September, the advance was 6%. The data are part of a survey by the National Association of Construction Material Traders (Anamaco). According to the entity, the movement in sales was driven by the release of fgts resources and an improvement in the economy. In the year, growth is 4% and, in the last 12 months, in 5%. Four regions improved: Southeast, where sales grew 8%; North and South, 6%; and Midwest with an increase of 2%. The Northeast was the only one that showed a level equal to that of September (1%).
