Self storage market grows, but is still unknown to the general public

The self storage market – warehouses with private pit rentals for storage of items of people and companies – has grown a lot in Brazil over the decade, but has not yet become a business known to the large public. The country now has 322 sheds in operation, with an offer of 60,500 boxes, equivalent to an area of 666,000 m², according to research by the consultancy Brain. Already at the beginning of the decade, there were less than 50 sheds in operation.
