CCP joins rivals to expand fast delivery from malls

Cyrela Commercial Properties (CCP), which owns six shopping malls, is moving to deepen the integration of physical stores with online commerce. The initiative will be made possible thanks to the purchase in September of an 11.3% stake in delivery center, a joint venture that uses malls as online marketed product distribution centers. With the entry into the business, ccp became a partner of competitors BRMalls and Multiplan, which together have more than 50% stake in delivery center. The CCP still has a purchase option that could raise its share to 14% in the near future. The fast delivery service is a trend in the shopping mall industry, with several companies articulating to compete with online commerce.
