Carrefour Closes 3rd Tri with Profit of R$ 430 Mi

Carrefour Brasil had a net profit 21% higher in the third quarter of 2019 to R$ 430 million, compared to the same period last year. Gross sales increased 8.9%, to R$ 14.4 billion, supported by an expansion of its cash & carry unit, Atacadão, and the growth of e-commerce. In turn, adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda) increased 13.9%, to R$ 1.129 billion.
