OMO produces packaging with plastic collected on Brazilian beaches

OMO launches the first packaging produced with plastic collected in the Brazilian coast. The Special Edition of liquid soap celebrates an important step of the brand that, from this year, will include recycled material in every bottle of laundry Omo Multi-action, significantly reducing the consumption of this component in the Virgin version.
Are 18000 units produced in partnership with cooperatives of the Brazilian coast and that reach consumers in August.
The project started in March of that year. In a joint action, Omo and the WWF-Brazil joint efforts carried out in Rio de Janeiro's beaches (Copacabana and Niterói) and Pernambuco (Fernando de Noronha and Recife), for removal of plastics in these locations. The objective was to contribute to the awareness regarding the problem of this type of material in the ocean and along the coast, as well as help people make more sustainable choices. The project also featured the endorsement of Clean Seas program ("Clean Seas"), of the United Nations.
The initiative involved more than a thousand volunteers, who collected 1.5 tons of plastic and participated in educational activities.
