BRAZILIAN RETAIL CAN ADVANCE 4.6% in JUNE

Brazilian retail sales should register advance of 4.6% in June, at least that's what esteem the São Paulo commercial Association (ACSP). The analysis takes place in the annual comparison and is based on the projected improvement in the purchasing power of households. "Throughout this first half, the pace of recovery in the sector will be intensified, reflecting the improvement in the purchasing power of households, since inflation is lower, the recovery of employment and greater availability of credit", analyzes the President of ACSP and the Federation of trade associations in the State of São Paulo (Facesp), Alencar Burti. He still recalls that, by virtue of the weak base of comparison, there is the positive estimate-high 4.6% in June, since the same month of last year the national trade fell 3%. The variation in 12 months, detailing the leader of the ACSP is a good metric for analysis since it eliminates reflections of the so-called calendar effect, such as holidays and amount of working days. On the impact of the October general elections in the purchasing decision of Brazilian, Burti points out that the pre-election period "tends to influence less household consumption, and the mood of the business community". The projection of the ACSP also points high of 3.9% for the month of March, 4.1% in April and 4.5% in May.
