Pharmacy billing Grows 8.84%, says Abrafarma

The turnover of the pharmacies networks 26 affiliated with Brazilian Association of Pharmacies and Drugstores (Abrafarma) grew 8.84 percent in the accumulated from January to November of 2017, according to balance sheet released this Wednesday (03). Sales in the period totalled R $40, R $27.57 39 billion, and billions on medicines and R $4.80 billion related to generics. The sale of non-prescription drugs came to represent R $12.82 billion of the total value of the period, up 7.21 percent on the same period in 2016. The increase of almost double digits, however, represents a step backwards compared to recent years. In 2016, the variation was 11.03% in 2015 from 11.99%. "In 2017 we tend to close the year with a growth between 9% and 10%. That number comes mainly from opening new outlets and largest market occupation, with market share gain. ", says Sérgio Mena Barreto, Executive Chairman of Abrafarma. For 2018, it is expected to overcome the 10% sales growth.
