Anvisa Prohibits Sale of cheeses from Friolack

The national health surveillance agency (Anvisa) banned the distribution and marketing of three batches of Friolack branded cheeses. The lots were contaminated by the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes, listeriosis and capable of causing infections in the central nervous system. Lot 290 Snack Dish cheese-sliced and Interfolhado, with a date of manufacture on 11 November 2017 and validity on 9 February 2018; lot 303 sliced mozzarella cheese, made from 30 October 2017 and validity in January 2018 28; and lot of 312 white cheese, with manufacturing in 6 November 2017 and validity on 4 February 2018, through the Agency's ban. They are all Friolack brand, manufactured by Dairy Company Fariolack Ltda-ME. The Friolack Ltd. had already announced that he would collect the lots.
