Unilever buys Korean cosmetics company for $ $2.7 bi

SEOUL-Unilever closed the purchase of cosmetic company Carver Korea of Goldman Sachs, Bain Capital and the founder of the company for $ $2.71 billion as it expands the business of beauty and personal care.
The anglo-Dutch group announced the deal on Monday, saying that the Carver was the fastest growing Dermatologic care in South Korea, through sales of the brand A.H. C brand.
Bain and Goldman Sachs acquired a majority share together about 60% of the Carver for about $ $500 million last year, said on Monday a source familiar with the matter.
The Carver Korea, Bain Capital and Goldman Sachs were not immediately available for comment.
