Sales of building materials will grow 5%

Corresponds to 65% of sales volume in the year, the forecast is that the second half presents 5% growth in retail building materials, about 2016. According to the monthly survey by the National Association of traders of construction materials (Anamaco), 52% of retailers responded that should close the year with growth of up to 10% in comparison with last year. According to the survey, approximately 1/3 of those surveyed plan to make new investments in the coming months, and 12% intending to contact new employees in September. Anamaco's research also indicated that 33% of retailers believe that they will have an increase in the volume of sales of up to 10% in September.
Month of August
According to the entity, the retail sales of building material grew 4% in August, compared with the same period in 2016. In comparison with July 2017, the index remained stable in the month. The performance in August was different in the regions of the country. In the Southeast, half the shops in sector showed stable performance in the month, in the Midwest and South, dropped by 4% stores and 2%, respectively. In the North and Northeast, had sales growth of 3% and 4% over the period.
