Global coffee exports increased 11% in July compared with the same month of the previous year, to 9,380,000 bags of 60 kg, pointed out on Thursday the International Coffee Organization (ICO). In the first ten months of the 2016/17 season, which began on October 1 last year, coffee exports rose 5,9% to 101,930,000 bags.
Arabica coffee exports in July amounted to 5,860,000 bags, 22,2% higher than in the previous year. Global shipments of Arabica in the season earned increased 8,7% to 64,220,000 bags.
Robusta coffee exports, however, fell in July to 3,7% 3,520,000 sacks. Robust exports have increased season-to-date, 1,5% for 37,710,000 bags.
