Generic Sales Grow 11% in the 1st half

The generics market presented a 11.07% growth in sales in units in the first half of 2017, compared with the same period of the previous year. In the first six months of the year, 609,400,000 units were sold against 548,600,000 in the same generic range of 2016. With that, generics have reached the level of 31.74% market share in the country. The data are from the Brazilian Association of generic drug Industries (PróGenéricos), based on the IMS Health indicators, that audits the retail pharmacist in Brazil and in the world.
