Fiat Chrysler has high of 15% in 2nd Qtr profit but disappoints indebtedness

MILAN-the Fiat Chrysler reported on Thursday adjusted operating profit slightly higher than expected, helped by improved performance in Europe and Latin America, and by the continuing firmness of business in North America, your main market.
The world''s seventh largest automaker had adjusted profit before interest and taxes (Ebit) of 1.87 billion euros from April to June, up 15% year after year and above the average estimate of analysts by Thomson Reuters, ears of 1.81 billion.
The recipe was virtually stable at 27.9 billion euros, below the average of the projections of 28.9 billion euros.
Industrial net debt dropped to 4.2 billion euros at the end of June, from 5.1 billion euros in March, but was still above the consensus of analysts, of 3.9 billion euros.
The automaker still confirmed projections for the year.
