COOPFAM Adopts the Braskem Packages

The green plastic is adopted on the packaging of organic coffees from cooperative of Farmers of Poço Fundo and region (COOPFAM) of Minas Gerais. Manufactured by Braskem, in your unit in Triunfo petrochemical pole, in Rio Grande do Sul, the package is made from sugar cane instead of petroleum. Annually, the cooperative distributes four tons of these grains and the Plastic Union is responsible for the development and production of packaging. The green plastic 3.09 capture tons of CO2 for every ton of renewable resin produced, according to Life cycle assessment (LCA) conducted by LCA consulting Brazil.
