Hypermarcas has net income of R$183,5 mi in the first quarter

São Paulo – the famacêuticos products company Hypermarcas had net profit of 183,500,000 dollars in the first quarter, a fall of 81,8% compared to the same stage last year, when the outcome had been influenced by nonrecurring effect.
In the first quarter of 2016, Hypermarcas had profit of a billion, as a result inflated by the input of resources from the sale of the arms of cosmetics and condoms, which earned 890 million reals.
In comparable terms, profit from continuing operations rose 114% in the annual comparison to 252,300,000 reais in the first quarter, since the debt reduction made the company financial income of 14 million dollars, against 148,700,000 of real expense in equal step of 2016.
The operating results of the company measured by earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda) from continuing operations was 349,400,000 reals, up 12,6% compared to same period in 2016.
The company''s net income rose to 12,2% year on year, to 927,900,000 reais in the first half, reflecting the combination of increase in sales volume and price adjustment.
The company ended the quarter with a net cash position of 1.26 billion reais (hedge), as a result of the reduction of the gross debt of 2.19 billion reais in March 2016, to 889,600,000 reais at the end of the first quarter of this year.
