Anfavea: vehicle production grows 39.1% in September compared with September 2016

SÃO PAULO-236,900 vehicles produced, the activity in the advanced automakers last month, 39.1% compared to the same period in 2016. Front of August, a month longer, with three working days more, there were 9.2% drop in passenger cars, SUVs, light trucks and buses, as balance sheet disclosed this Thursday, 5, by the National Association of Automotive vehicle manufacturers (Anfavea), entity representing vehicle manufacturers installed in the country.
The performance leads to 1,990,000 total vehicles manufactured by automakers in the first nine months of the year, a rise of 27% pulled by high exports and the recovery of domestic sales.
Only in the factories of passenger cars and light commercial, such as pickup trucks, production totaled 227,700 units during the past month, 39.4% over same period in 2016. Forward to August, production in this category had 9% drop.
In the truck assembly lines, there were 56.8% high in interannual comparison, but indentation of 10.5% compared to the previous month, for a total of 7600 vehicles produced in September.
The Anfavea also shows that the production of buses, of 1700 units, fell 21.3% compared to September 2016. On a monthly comparison, the collective manufacturing retreated 23 percent.
