World Tourism grew 4% in 2016

The number of tourists increased 4% in terms of worldwide in 2016, totaling 1.2 billion people, thanks to the number of travellers from Asia (+8%), announced on Tuesday the World Tourism Organisation.
Europe remained the most visited region of the world, with 620 million of tourists, but this number increased (2%) more slowly than in the previous year, by fears linked to security in certain countries, according to the world body with headquarters in Madrid.
