The product is a tablet that dissolves in water. It contains a bacteria that feeds on the larvae of the mosquito that transmits dengue fever, and chikungunya zika. "The bacteria exist in nature, who has already taken water from the waterfall had too much of it," says Rodrigo Perez, Executive Director of the company.
The Oswaldo Cruz Foundation formulated this insecticide. The company was selected to use the technology through a public call. The BR3, which was aided by Invests SP to find the location for the plant, trying to get permission from Anvisa to that the tablet can be placed in clean water.
The idea is that the insecticide is applied in domestic reservoirs in distressed areas, funded by the Government, according to Perez.
