Sales in hyper and supermarkets grew 0.9%

Sales in hyper and supermarkets rose 0.9% in November 2016, compared to October of the same year. The data are from the survey of IBGE (Brazilian Institute of geography and statistics) published on Tuesday (10/1). However, compared to may last year, there were 1.1% drop in sales.
In November 2016, the national retail as a whole surged from 2% in sales volume compared to the immediately preceding month, in the seasonally adjusted series.
