PepsiCo expands Lay''s distribution and production starts in Curitiba

After initiating the distribution of Lay''s potato in the South of the country, the PepsiCo officially includes the production line at the factory of Curitiba (PR) to meet the demand of the States of Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul. Investments in the plant are part of the company''s growth strategy, consolidating the leadership in the segment of salty snacks, says Camilla Pagamisse, marketing manager of the company''s chips. According to the Executive, the idea is to expand the mix of products to the public in the region, responsible for increasing demand in the premium segment. "These consumers have great importance for business and therefore we decided to enter the production in Parana, gaining agility in delivery," says the Manager.
A large number of potato producers in the region, supplier of Chips and lines Ruffles, will also meet the demand of Lay''s. Present in more than 60 countries, potato chips is the most sold in the world, with more than 800 million consumers. There are 3 years in Brazil, started production in Sete Lagoas (Minas Gerais) to meet the market demand in South-East, with the Classic flavors, Sour Cream and Rump, with versions of 30 g (push pop) and 96 g (pillow).
