CADE approves purchase of Natural One by Gávea Investimentos

São Paulo – the Administrative Council for economic Defense (Cade) approved without restrictions on purchase of minority interest of Gávea Investimentos in manufacturer of Natural juices One, second order published on Monday in the Official Gazette.
Reuters had published last week that businessman Ricardo Ermírio de Moraes, who founded the Natural One a decade ago in Jarinu (SP), the agreement with the Gávea in 28 December, claimed the sources.
According to information from Cade, the operation was notified to the antitrust agency on December 29. The value of the transaction has not been posted.
The acquisition of participation will be made by the vehicle GIF V, which manages 1.1 billion reais.
GIF V will stay with a participation of 49,9% in Natural One, according to the operation.
Already be Mathai with company 45,53% and Zwilin Holdings, original Natural One shareholder, will be with 4,57%.
Previously, Moraes had the Natural One and 90,24% Zwilin other 9,76%, according to Cade.
Mathew has negotiated with rivals such as Coca-Cola and Britvic, of England, but the talks have not come to terms that were of interest to the Manager, stated the sources from Reuters in early November.
At the time, Mathews was seeking an assessment of $150 million for all Natural One, but he had not yet decided if he would sell the control or a minority stake in the company.
