Sales retreated 5.2% on father''s day

The results obtained in the estimates of FecomercioSP and Boa Vista SCPC (Service Central de credit protection) show that father''s day sales have had performance in line with the other dates and not brought great encouragement to retail.
According to the analysts of the entities, the difficulties that still permeate the macroeconomic scenario, such as high interest rates, deteriorating labour market and high inflation, are still negatively impacting sales on holidays.
Compared to 2015, father''s day sales this year retreated 5.2 percent. In 2016 sales retreat on this date was even more intense than the observed in 2015, when trade sales decreased by 0.8% over the same period to 2014.
