Positivo Informática records R$ profit 12,600,000

The brazilian electronics manufacturer Positivo Informática announced yesterday that its net income reached 12,600,000 R$ in the second quarter of this year. The result reverses loss 39,600,000 R$ presented in the same period to 2015.
The company''s net revenue grew by 24.5% between April and June this year, from R$ 452,100,000 R$ paw 564,500,000, thanks to the advance of the average prices of the products manufactured by the company in all categories.
The manufacturer reported that it sold 747,500 cell phones in the second quarter, which represents an increase of 146%. According to the company, the line of smartphones represented 78% of sales in the period. In addition to the Positive brand devices, the company sells equipment to the premium segment with the Quantum brand since the end of last year through its own website. From the second half of the year, this line of products will arrive at retail stores.
In the case of computers, the manufacturer sold 302,900 units in the analysis period, in line with sales in the second quarter of 2015. The company is also betting on high value added segment, through a partnership with the Vaio brand since October last year. The company will expand this product line for Argentina in September. In 2017, a positive plan to market the products also in Chile and Uruguay.
The bet in the premium segment tries to make the results of the company less susceptible to market fluctuations.
On balance, a positive also stressed the debt reduction to R$ 226,200,000, the lowest level recorded by the company in three years.
