Nestle sales grow in the first half in Brazil

Nestlé presents the overall results in the first half and Brazil has good performance. For the Country, the company reported a breakthrough between 4% and 6% in sales of the first six months of the year, driven by dairy products and by Nescafé Dolce Gusto. Nestle also reported having carried out "selective" increase in prices during the period in the country.
In the overall result, Nestlé registered 8.9% drop in net income for the first half of this year, to 4.1 billion Swiss francs (US $ 4.18 billion), compared to the previous year. The company''s revenue advanced 0.7% from January to June, to 43.2 billion Swiss francs, compared to the first six months of 2015.
According to the company, the increase in revenue was benefited by organic growth of 3.5% in the period, helped by robust sales in North America. Indenting already in profit was attributed to non-recurring deferred tax.
"As we continue to respond to the challenges in China, we had a good performance in the USA, Europe, Southeast Asia and Latin America and we anticipate this to continue in the second half of the year," said President Paul Bulcke said in a statement.
