Grupo Pão de Açúcar is Brazil''s largest retailer by the sixth grade; see ranking

The Grupo Pão de Açúcar (GPA) if kept, for the sixth year in a row, at the top of the ranking of the largest companies in the Brazilian retail, according to annual survey made by Ibevar (Brazilian Institute of Retail executives and Consumer Market).
According to the survey, the GPA won 76.9 billion in 2015, R$ followed by Carrefour, with R$ 42.7 billion. Following are the Walmart, with 29.3 billion R$, Lojas Americanas, with 20.7 billion R$, and Magazine Luiza, with R$ 10.4 billion.
The Pão de Açúcar group brings together the Extra networks, sugar loaf and Assai and is also the company''s controller of furniture and appliances Via retail (Casas Bahia and Ponto Frio) and e-commerce company Cnova. Altogether there are more than 2,100 stores and about 146,000 employees.
According to the survey, the turnover of the 120 largest companies grew 5.2% retail in 2015, to 444 billion R$. Only the 5 biggest accounted for 40% of the total turnover.
