Beans, butter and milk increase the cost of the basic basket

For the second consecutive month, beans, butter and milk increase the cost of the basic basket. The cost of the set of basic foods has risen in 22 of the 27 capitals of Brazil in July, according to the national survey of the Basic Food Basket, held by the Dieese (Inter Union Department of statistics and economic studies).
The biggest high in Boa Vista (8.02%), João Pessoa (5.79%), Manaus (5.27%) and Maceió (4.50%). The retractions were observed in Florianopolis ( -4.35%), Belo Horizonte ( -0.64%), Bethlehem ( -0.60%), Porto Velho ( -0.56%) and Brasilia ( -0.23%). São Paulo was the capital recorded the highest cost for the basket ($ 475,27), followed by Porto Alegre (R$ 468.78) and Rio de Janeiro (us $ 448,28).
The lowest mean values were observed in Natal (362.63 R$) and Rio Branco (us $ 371,94). Between January and July 2016, all cities have accumulated high.
