Airbnb predicts move R$ 247,000,000 during Olympics

Airbnb, American company that acts in alternative hosting platform, move R$ business economy 247,000,000 of Rio de Janeiro during the Olympics, almost half of the total moved in Rio de Janeiro with rents on the website of the company in 2015.
The result is a combination of estimated average daily R$ 536, observed on reservations established by the Airbnb for the period of the event, plus expenses of tourists in Rio, during the days of the games.
Only the direct income generated for the hosts in the River, that is, those who have posted ads on the Airbnb site to receive guests during the Olympics, will be R$ 81,000,000, according to platform. So far, have been held in reserves or 66000 rented rooms by using Airbnb, being, on average, three guests per booking, divided into 54 neighbourhoods. "They are all over the city, not only in tourist places," said one of the founders of the platform, Joe Gebbia.
Domestic tourism increased presence in the ads on the site. Rose from 6% to 55% of the total Brazilian users of Airbnb between the World Cup in 2014 and the Olympics this year, according to the company.
