Sales in restaurants retreat 14% in June

Sao Paulo-the crisis that affects the power sector outside the home follows haunting the companies. In June, food service operators associated with the Foodservice Institute Brazil (IFB) had a fall about 14 percent-in real terms and in the same store concept.
Considering all the units to fall were relatively minor, of about 7% in interannual comparison and also in real terms (taking into account the effects of inflation in the period).
According to the entity, this smaller sales in comparison to the previous year, is due to the continuous drop main macroeconomic indicators, such as the slight increase in the indebtedness of households, rising credit and the acceleration of inflation indicators.
These factors meant that the number of transactions, in June this year, also retraísse in comparison with the same month last year. The fall considering all the stores and the concept '' same '' shops (which considers only the units with more than 13 months of operation) was, respectively, of 4.5% and 13%. The increase in the average ticket in the period, from 6.6%, compensated in part this fall.
Despite the difficulties, the IFB members showed growth in the number of units in the period, compared to June of last year, to 7.6%.
